Voting is live on our tentative agreement!
Voting is live on the Tentative Agreement for our next contract! Now it’s up to all of us to vote to ratify this contract and make it official.
Our ratification vote is open through midnight on Monday, December 18th. GLO members who are eligible to vote should look for an electronic ballot in their Brown email inbox.
What’s in the Tentative Agreement?
We’ve won an approximately $3700/year raise, improved support for grad parents and non-US citizens, better discrimination and harassment protections, and more! You can read the entire tentative contract here, and a plain language summary prepared by the Bargaining Committee here.
Who is eligible to vote?
GLO members who are currently in our bargaining unit, or who have been in our bargaining unit at any time in the past four semesters (i.e. through the beginning of Fall 2022), are eligible to vote. Grads who are appointed as Research Assistants, Teaching Assistants, Teaching Fellows or Proctors are part of GLO’s bargaining unit, whereas grads who are on fellowship are not.
Grads who are in GLO’s bargaining unit, but have not yet signed a GLO membership card, can become eligible to vote by signing a GLO membership card. Membership makes our union possible, and members run our union. If your colleagues aren’t members yet, they can sign a membership card here! Grads who join GLO during the ratification vote are eligible to participate.
If you are unsure of your eligibility, or believe you should be eligible but have not received an email ballot, please reach out to elections@glounion.org!
